PCMag.com is hiring a freelance weekend news writer for 3 to 4 stories per day on Saturdays and Sundays (US East Coast hours). You would find, write, produce, and publish these stories yourself, so experience writing tech news and working in a CMS is a must. You would also post your stories to our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
You have strong news judgment and can identify the most important stories of the day, as well as find fun, eye-catching topics for slower days.
Competitive, negotiable rate per story (approximately 250 to 300 words each).
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience writing consumer tech news for a digital publication
* Ability to write clearly and quickly
* Comfortable producing stories in a CMS and posting to social media
* Effective communicator
